10 wks Post Op!

10 wks Post Op has brought on full force work outs 5 days a wk. Wanted to go M-F but thing its going to be M,T,Th,Fri,Sat. Either way these workouts are kicking my A$$ LOL It feels great tho I never thought I would enjoy working out, but I am really starting to enjoy it. I guess a bad experience can be changed with great ones! Isaac legit has become my personal trainer and I love him for that he has so much patients with me, and knows when to push me.

I like to do 20-25 mins of cardio to start of my work out, then each day we work out different areas of out body and every day I like to work out my abs.

I had a huge NSV this wknd I was at the store and I tried on rings and I can now wear a size 7 from a size 8.25.  and I had to take off my promise ring and now wear it around my neck on a necklace Isaac got me. Kind of makes me sad that I can no longer wear it I guess I never really thought about my rings not fitting me anymore :(

I also made one of the best things Ive had since Ive had WLS this past wknd Turkey BLT
Whole Wheat Tortilla Pizzas!

And I found something that I can drink that give me some energy for my nights at work. I want to as the doctor about it tho because I am kind of worried about how much caffeine is in this Crystal Light!!

The box says 60 mg Caffeine per serving and each pack it is two servings so its 120 mg!  That's a lot of Caffeine.

So for my 10 wk weight here it is... 232.2 lbs

Two days ago was my Two month Surgiversary! I know Its been two months already!! And today is marks 9 wks Post op for me!

Let me see whats new from last week. Oh... This past weekend I joined Planet Fitness. Yes I did!! There was a grand opening going on at the one near my house, so Isaac and I went up there and it was only $1.00 to join! and we both got the black card membership for $19.99 a month! And I have to say I love it. It does make it a lot easier to have someone to go with and I am sure as time goes on I wont mind going by myself, but right now I am enjoying the extra time I have with Isaac.

As far as my work out  goes right now I like to do some cardo either on the and get my heart rate up, usually try to get in 1-2 miles, then I do ab swing. And then I work on my arms and legs. And I started the red light therapy today, that will be 2-3 times a wk for 12 mins for 3 months. Its supposed to help tighten your skin reduce stretch marks, clear pores and all over make your skin look healthier.

So one machine I am working on is the ARC Trainer! I was on for the first time yesterday only lasted 3mins lol Well today I did 5 mins! So I will just keep on keeping on! Here is what it looks like!

Its a beast I tell you!

8 wks Post Op

Well I am 8 wks Post op today and 56 days from my surgery!! It has been a Blessing! I hate that I have such a close friend who is going through hell right now and there is nothing I can do for her because she is so far away and all her hell is stems from complications that this surgery can have. I feel horrible that I am having an easy time with this when all I wish is for once day I can take her pain away and make her okay.

I know I don't go to church or practice, but I believe that there is someone/ something greater out there, and they wouldn't just put people in our lives for no reason. Sarah and I may be A million ok not a million miles apart, but a couple hundred but there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about her and pray that she heals and feels better.

See one night I came home from a busy day with Isaac and it was about 3am I believe and I signed in to my VST.com  and I see I have a message... OHHH I said let me read it and to my surprise it was the bubbly, happy, chipper, person from OR. telling me all about herself and I reply telling her about myself and the rest is history! We became very close, we started texting each other every day, and messaging on Facebook and we just were going through the journey together and still are. She has be come the best friend I have never met. I pray for the day that all of this is behind us and she is back to her old self healed and feeling better so we can finally see each other and enjoy the perks of becoming such great friends, but until that day comes. I will still continue to check up you Sarah! :) and let you know I love you and I am here for you even if it is a million miles away!

Wk 8 post op WHAT!! Where has the time gone?? I feel like I am in a time machine and its just pulling me right along here. I had my 6 wk well 7 wk check in last wk and doc said everything looks great. I dont go back to see her again until Feb 13 for my 3 month POST OP visit! At my last visit i got to try PB2 which was pretty cool it is powdered peanut butter with 85% less fat calories and it wasnt too bad, only bad thing is its hard to find! Whole Food is about the only place that has it!

I was also able to try Protein Chips I know sounds gross, but they were really good! So I went on Bariatric Pantry and ordered a few bags!!

I got 6 bags of chips and my B-12 for under $24 bucks!! Chips have 10-12g of protein per bag I can eat them with tuna or chicken salad! So not to bad!

So for my 8 wk weight here it is... 240.8lbs

7wks Post-Op

My my my how time does fly by... it has been 7 wks since surgery, I can not believe how fast things have gone by. I thought those first 2 wks of liquids where never going to end and now here I am able to eat just about whatever I want again!! Except: Bread, Pasta, Beef, Nuts and Seeds. Now that 6 wks has passed and I am on to wk 7 I can eat raw fruits and veggies!! Which makes me very happy I love me some Raw Cauliflower!

So being 7 wks out I am at about 600 calories a day for food I am going to try better to track how much for sure I am taking in because this is a guess. I hate hate hate writing down what I eat dunno why I just hate it or dont like doing it. Dont know what I can do it make it fun. Any ideas??? I am getting in my water 64oz usually in a day and I am getting in my protein as well usually try to get about 20g of protein in with each meal to have total 60g per day. I am pretty good about getting my vitamins in on a daily basis.

At my check in today my blood pressure was 90/60 LOL so needless to day I have been directed to cut my blood pressure med in half and only take 10mg instead of the 20mg I am prescribed and on my next appt which is my 3 month check up I will most likely be taking off of my high blood pressure meds Can you believe that! I am so happy! I can not wait until I do not have to take it anymore!!!

Another thing that's happened, Sunday I started back on my BC (birth control). I had to be off it 6 wks before surgery and 6 wks after surgery. And I couldnt go back on the BC Pill because there are no studies done to show how it is absorbed in the body after you have been sleeved, so my doctors advised against me going back on it. I was thinking about going on the "Patch" my OBGYN say that it has a risk of causing "leaks" not sure if that is right?? I am going to see her in Feb and I will talk to her more about it then, but she suggested that I go back to the Nuva-ring for now, and at my Appt in Feb I will talk to her about implantation's, and see if those are an option for me.

So being that I am 7 wks out and everything has pretty much healed and I am back to work, I can say that I am very glad that I had this surgery and I am so glad I had chosen the hospital and surgeon I did. Every time I go in to see them I feel so welcomed.  I have no regrets and I wouldnt change a thing. I would do it all over again in a heart beat. If someone where to ask me if they should have the surgery and what they should do if they were considering having the surgery, I'd day do your homework!!! Do the research find a surgeon you trust, join forums and talk to people who have had the surgery, find support groups and have people you can talk to. It really does make the whole process so much easier.

So for my 7 wk weight here it is... 245.8lbs
