15 Wks Post-Op

I feel like its been the longest week ever! I have been busting my but to break out of the 220's and today finally I did it! I haven't really had an major stalls, but I have gained a lb during the wk that I need to work off that causes me to get frustrated a lot of the time. WLS is not a cure all! It is a tool! I am not guaranteed to lose weight with this surgery. I do still gain weight and I do still need to bust my ASS to lose the weight I gain! I feel guilty when I indulge in things I want like a scoop of frozen yogurt or a glass of wine, but I am human and I am going to have the things I like, but I also know that when I have these things I am more likely to store weight or regain weight. It just makes me realize that I am human! I am not a robot and I am going to have times where I do these things. I know my habits have changed and I have changed as a person! I work out 5-6 days a week now and I make healthier choices when it comes to what goes in my mouth. I am much happier with the person I have become! Its funny my lil sister came over to spend the night and she wanted junk food, and what she considers junk food and what we now consider junk food are two way different things.

So since I am happy to announce I finally broke out of the 220's....

14 wks Post Op...

According to my count down on my blog, well its not a count down anymore; it is now counting days since I've been sleeved I am 2 days away from being sleeved for 100 Days!! woo hoo! That's pretty awesome right? Well at least I think so.

Nothing really has changed this past week I still cant have bread or pasta or beef or seeds, or nuts yet. I did try Oranges and Plutos for the first time this week and they were so good :) not to sweet, but very good. First real fruit since surgery.

I've been craving fish like crazy lately I dunno what it is. I just cant seem to get enough of it. We went to the house of blues for dinner Saturday and I ordered the blacked catfish and that triggered this fish craving in me that all I want is fish now lol which really isn't back because I love Tilapia and its very high in protein! :)

Oh I dont remember if I posted about this or not last wk or the wk before Isaac got me a ring for loosing almost 85 lbs at the time and he gave it to me in front of his whole family when we were in Fort Wayne, In. He said that the buckle ring is a symbolization of me tighting up my belt! I love it and him so much!! Here is a pic of it...

Perfect fit too. Since losing all the weight so far I have gone down in ring size from an 8.25 to about 7-almost in to the 6's! CRAZY!

So as for doctors appts I don't see my surgeon or visit the office again for 3 months which will be my 6 months check up and thats in May I believe, so that gives me 3 months to find a family doctor I like, and get my blood work done and levels checked again.

So for my 14 wk weight here it is... 220.2 lbs

13 wks Post Op, 3 Month Surgiversary!!

3 Months Post Op As of Today Surgery was Nov 14th 2012.... 13 wks Post Op was yesterday and my 3 month Post Op check up was yesterday! Wow! I cant believe that I am quarter of a year through from being Sleeved a full year, quarter of a way there.

Work outs are going great. I love going and I can even going by myself. I would have never been able to do it by myself before. Something has clicked in myself since surgery. I don't know if its the support I see that I have now or the drive I can actually feel it pushing me, but its here and its here to stay and I am so grateful for it.

Great news from the doctors office yesterday! I weighted in at a 1 lb over what I am at home. 223 at doctors office and at home Im 222 which is good.  I weigh myself in my underwear at home cant do that at doctors lol. I found out at this appt that at 3 months my surgeon wants us to be at a 30% weight loss of body weight which I did not know, was never told this. They are very very proud and happy with my weight loss so far I am at a 38% weight loss and over the charts as they say! So I am happy with this!

My doctors asst  has also given me the go a head to start taking Biotin Vitamin that will help with my hair loss which is a side effect of the surgery and my protein levels being low. It should stop in a few months hopefully, I have a lot of hair, so I am not too worried about it, but it is kind of scary to see. Its been going on for about a month and half now I'd day. Dr said it should slow down in few months.

I bought the above from wal-mart for about $3. Its the same brand of Vitamins I take of my Vitamin D.

Oh and I found out my Goal weight for my surgeon is 122... so we shall see if that is do able Im still sticking to my goal of 130 :)

So for my 13 wk weight here it is... 222.2 lbs

12 wks Post Op!!

I am 1 week and 1 day away from 3 months Post Op. And I am one wk away from my 3 month Follow up check in appointment. The time has gone by so fast. At the start of this whole process we think that its never going to happen our time will never get here. And when it finally does we complain about the different phases of having to reintroduce food back into our life. And we think that those will never end. But time truly does fly but and for those that don't think that it will ever end it will. You will get to the point where you can go out and eat again and enjoy life like you once did, but you will do it in a different way. Life is defiantly different now. I tell Isaac (my bf) how I wish he would live just one day in my sleeved life so he could know how it feels or what it feels like to be full on so little. Or what it feels like to not even feel hungry some times.

I am still struggling with the mind/body connecting. My brain still hasn't caught up with the weight loss I don't think. Total from my HW I've lost 85 lbs and I just cant believe it yet I feel amazing! I am less than 95 (94.2) away from my main goal of 130lbs!! which does not seem like it is so far way anymore. A year ago I thought I would never ever get there, now I think I'm going to get there its just a matter for When!! :) And I have 25.2 lbs to go until I hit ONDERLAND! So I have soo much to look forward to and be Thankful for!

With all those Goals getting so close!! Here is my 12 wk weigh in
