18/19 Wks Post Op!

It has been 133 days since I walked into St. Vincent and changed my life forever! I made the best decision I could have ever made to have WLS. At 19 wks Post Op life is back to normal and I am living it to the fullest. I am working out at least 5 times a week; I do at least 30 mins of cardio and then strength train for another 30 mins.

It has been a struggle to get out of the 200's, but I have to remember that I didnt put this weight on over night and it will come off when its ready. I have decided that once I hit Onederland I am going to reward myself with a new pair of fun workout shoes! Right now mine are just plain white and boring and I deserve some fun ones. I have worked so hard to get where I am and once I am in the 100's I am going to get me some new Shoes! Hitting Onederland is going to be a huge deal for me. I have never in my adult life been in the 100's never do I even remember being the weight I am now in my adult life, so this is a whole new ball field for me.

Something that I am not used to that I am noticing as all this weight has been coming off is guys are noticing me. I am not sure how I feel about this I mean I like it but I am just not used to it at all!!!

New Topic BC (Birth Control) Since having WLS I can no longer be on the pill I had to go back on the Nuva Ring and I didnt like it when I tried it before, so I looked into other forms of BC. I talked to my OB and we decided on the Implanon.  It gets implanted in to one of ur arms which ever is go for you and it stays in for up to 3 years. So here is what it looks like.

The lil white match stick is what is left in your arm and the needle looking gun is what is used to insert it into your arm. The Dr numbs the area where it is implanted so you cant even feel it being put in and it is done in about 5 mins. I think I am going to be happy with this. We shall see.
