Post Op wk 27

I finally had my 6 month check up with Dr. Ben Meir and it will be the last time I get to see him, unless I find out where hes going and follow... hmm now there is an idea. I also go to talk with his PA Brooke who I've had most of my follow up appointments with and she is also leaving which is very upsetting. Well I am doing wonderful they both said! Which is awesome to hear I was afraid I wasn't or I wouldn't be at where I am supposed to be with weight loss yet and according to both of them I am right on track.

So with the VSG you are  supposed to be able to lose 70-80% of your excess body weight. At 3 months I was over my target and at 38% loss, they want you at 30%. and at 6 Months I am at 55% loss. All of my blood work was great! Im to keep doing what I am doing and change nothing but to take two B-12 because they are only 500 mg and I need 1000 didnt know that lol. So I will just double up my B-12.  My A1C levels were perfect I was 5.6 pre diabetic before all the weight loss and now I am at 4.5. And my Iron which I was kind of worried about was perfect too. I couldnt be happier.

The one thing that kinda bothered me when I asked Dr B when he thought I would be at 130lbs. Which is the goal I have set for myself. and he said for me to be able to lose 70-80% excess body weight I would have to weight 150-155 and he would be happy with me at that weight.  I said.... Hello, I'm 5'1 I want to be 130. To be at 130 I'd have to lose 95% excess body weight he said it so totally do able but will take a lot of hard work on my end. I have the faith that I will get to my goal of 130 I did not do this to quit anywhere but where I wanna be! I am going to have to take my work outs and start doing them for me and not worrying about when someone can go with me or trying to get someone to come with me. I have been doing it for to long and its time to worry about me and to stop worrying about someone else's weight loss.  I have my own goals I am working on and cant work on someone else's if they dont want to do it themselves.
